Can I get a farm-scale solar array in SA31?
Yes. In Wales, farm-scale ground-mounts (15–50 kW) typically need a full planning application — we handle the submission with Carmarthenshire Council as part of the project. We've completed several 25–40 kW ground-mount arrays around Llanddarog and Llandyfaelog feeding directly into farm operations and SEG export.
Are heat pumps suitable for Carmarthen Victorian terraces?
Yes — but the fabric upgrades matter. Most central-Carmarthen terraces need loft insulation top-up, draught-stripping, and 1–2 larger radiators before we'll fit a heat pump. We model the heat-loss room-by-room before quoting and only fit pumps where the SCOP will exceed 3.5.
How does flood risk affect my installation?
For SA31 properties in the Towy flood zone, we wall-mount inverters and batteries above the 1-in-100-year flood level (typically 1.2 m above floor). Roof-mounted PV is unaffected. We check the Natural Resources Wales flood map for every Carmarthen survey.
